Strategy game Total War: WARHAMMER III has launched its biggest expansion yet, Lords of the End Times. A colossal collection of unique characters, deadly new units, and game-changing features inspired by one of Warhammer Fantasy's most cataclysmic events, it introduces four new Legendary Lords to Immortal Empires alongside a massive free update for all players.

For anyone unfamiliar, Immortal Empires is Total War: WARHAMMER's ultimate sandbox experience, combining the content of all three games in the trilogy into a single experience packed with legendary heroes, ancient rivalries, and globe-spanning warfare. As with previous releases, Lords of the End Times is available as a complete bundle with a 15% discount or as individual DLC purchases, allowing players to build their collection however they choose.

If you're new to Total War: WARHAMMER, there's never been a better time to join the action. In a first for the series, purchasing any part of Lords of the End Times grants access to Immortal Empires, even if you don't own any of the base games. That means a single purchase is enough to jump straight into the apocalyptic action and begin building your collection from there.

Leading the charge in Lords of the End Times are four new Legendary Lords, each arriving with their own unique campaign mechanics, playstyle, and legions of units. The most infamous of them is Nagash, the Supreme Lord of the Undead, whose ambition is nothing less than transforming the world into a vast Land of the Dead. An exceptionally powerful spellcaster, he can recruit units from across the undead races, giving players unique flexibility in how they build their armies and wage war.

Next up is Thanquol, the Skaven's most ambitious and accident-prone mastermind. Riding into battle atop his Rat Ogre bodyguard Boneripper, Thanquol specializes in deception, sabotage, and overwhelming enemies with vast armies of Skaven warriors. Players can enact elaborate Masterplans to outwit rival factions, conquer territory through cunning rather than honor, and unleash chaos across the campaign. However, things don't always go according to plan, so you'll need to be ready to deal with the unexpected.

The Glottkin are a trio of corrupted siblings who serve the Plague Lord, spreading disease and decay wherever they march. The scythe-wielding Otto and sorcerous Ethrac ride into battle atop their brother Ghurk, a colossal Chaos Spawn of mutated muscle. Together they combine physical and magical might as a single terrifying combatant. Their campaign revolves around corrupting the lands they conquer, transforming settlements into festering strongholds and slowly overwhelming enemies through plague, attrition, and relentless warfare.

Last but certainly not least is Boris Todbringer, the Elector Count of Middenland and one of the Empire's most celebrated warriors. Armed with his legendary sword Legbiter, Boris leads from the front, inspiring his followers and crushing enemies in close combat. Players can command soldiers from across the Empire, including newly added Middenland units and devoted followers of the wolf god Ulric, building armies focused on resilience, leadership, and the strength of steel and faith.

Lords of the End Times also arrives alongside one of the biggest free updates in Total War: WARHAMMER III's history. Crowning the update is Neferata, the Vampire Queen, a new Legendary Lord who uses secret vampire covens to manipulate rival factions from the shadows. Note that Neferata is only free to owners of Nagash or any Vampire Counts–related content.

Players can also look forward to major updates for both the Vampire Counts and Archaon the Everchosen, alongside three new end-game scenarios inspired by some of Warhammer's most infamous apocalyptic events. Updated victory conditions for every legacy Legendary Lord and a host of additional improvements round out a substantial free update for all players.
