Chelsea Perry
One of my biggest brags as a freshly postgrad 22-year-old is that I spend roughly $30 a week on groceries.
I have this frugal system down to a science: keeping my pantry stocked with Aldi staples leaves room in my budget for fun snacks and drinks, lots of produce, and desserts.
To make sure I'm getting the best value, I periodically buy these products in bulk and always take advantage of the store's weekly specials.
Here are nine of my favorite Aldi items.
Prices may vary depending on location.
I love the Friendly Farms nonfat Greek yogurt.
Chelsea Perry
Whenever I'm at Aldi, I always make sure to pick up a container of the Friendly Farms nonfat Greek yogurt.
Not only is this yogurt thick and creamy, but it's also priced at only $3 for a 32-ounce container. Plus, each serving contains 17 grams of protein, and there are five servings per container — meaning it will last a while in my fridge.
The BelGioioso fresh mozzarella is one of my favorite snacks.
Chelsea Perry
I love adding BelGioioso fresh mozzarella snacking cheeses to pasta salads for lunch or pairing them with a little tomato for a quick snack.
A bonus: they're only $4 a pack.
Aldi's cucumbers are a great size for the price, and they taste amazing.
Chelsea Perry
One of my favorite meals is a cucumber salad, so I love that these are only $0.75 each at my local store.
Not only are they a great price, but I love that each cucumber is enormous — ensuring I'm getting a great value.
Season's Choice steamed frozen broccoli florets are a must in my household.
Chelsea Perry
I eat broccoli almost every night with dinner, so I always stock up on the Season's Choice steamed broccoli florets whenever I'm at Aldi.
At $1 per bag, this frozen broccoli is the best quality of any store brand I've found.
My go-to chips are the Clancy's jalapeño version at Aldi.
Chelsea Perry
I like my potato chips ridiculously spicy. Clancy's jalapeño kettle chips are the best I've tried, and are only $2 a bag.
The Moser Roth chocolate bars are my favorite sweet treat.
Chelsea Perry
I can't believe how good the Moser Roth chocolate bars are.
These $3 bars taste great on their own, but I also like to add chunks to my oatmeal or yogurt bowls.
Earth Grown organic tofu has great flavor and is packed with protein.
Chelsea Perry
I'm a vegetarian, so tofu is one of my favorite ways to incorporate protein into my everyday meals. I love the Earth Grown extra-firm organic version at Aldi, which is only $2 a pack.
I like to keep the tofu in the freezer, and when I'm ready to cook it, I air-fry or sauté it with some cornstarch.
Dakota's Pride garbanzo beans always end up in my cart.
Chelsea Perry
Dakota's Pride garbanzo beans are the basis of every meal I eat.
Whether I'm making a salad or curry, I always need these in my cabinet. Plus, one can is just under $1.
I think Aldi's fruit selection is an incredible value.
Chelsea Perry
Every time I visit Aldi, I always pick up some fruit. Of all the grocery stores I've visited, Aldi's selection of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries is the most reasonably priced and offers the best value.
On this trip, I grabbed a container of La Bella Vita strawberries for only $2.
