Drake and Future rank among the most successful – and prolific – hip-hop musicians of all time. Both stars are dominant in today’s music industry, and they have worked together repeatedly, producing numerous hit songs and even the collaborative No. 1 album What a Time to Be Alive.
These days, Drake and Future appear to have an on-again, off-again friendship, and they are also trading places on the charts. Only one week ago, Future replaced Drake atop multiple Billboard tallies with his latest album, The Real Me. Now, the reverse happens, as Drake returns to the summit on several rankings.
Drake Replaces Future at No. 1
Drake trades places with Future on the Top Rap Albums chart, among several other rosters. Iceman, one of the three collections the Canadian superstar released this spring alongside Habibti and Maid of Honour, rises from No. 2 and returns to the top slot.
The Top Rap Albums chart ranks the most-consumed rap-only projects in the United States each week. The tally is built using equivalent album units derived from streaming activity, traditional purchases and track sales.

Last week, Future’s The Real Me debuted at No. 1 on nearly every Billboard ranking it reached, including the Top Rap Albums chart. The arrival pushed Iceman down to second place, but Drake’s project immediately recovers, and the two releases swap positions once more.
Drake Matches One of His Longest Reigns
As Iceman finds its way back to No. 1 on the Top Rap Albums chart, it earns its ninth week in charge. That sum ties the project as Drake’s fourth-longest-running leader on the genre-specific roster.
Iceman matches Views“One Dance” with Wizkid and Kyla. Three Drake albums have ruled for even longer stretches.
Take Care remains his sturdiest champion, with 16 weeks at No. 1 on the Top Rap Albums chart. Certified Lover Boy and For All the Dogs follow with 13 and 11 periods in charge, respectively.
Iceman could move ahead of Views in only a matter of days. Another turn at No. 1 would give the recently-released collection its milestone tenth stint atop the tally and make it Drake’s sole fourth-longest-ruling champion.
Drake Leads Two Billboard Charts With Iceman

Iceman appears on four Billboard charts this week and conquers two of them. In addition to returning to No. 1 on the Top Rap Albums tally, the set also reclaims the highest space of the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart – though it doesn’t rise within the Canadian rapper’s catalog in terms of length of time in charge.
Just as on the rap-only roster, Future’s The Real Me debuted at No. 1 on the broader genre ranking last week and replaced Drake. Now, Iceman pushes from No. 2 to No. 1, while Future’s latest slips slightly.
Drake Climbs on the Streaming Chart
Iceman also gains ground on one of the other two rankings on which it appears. The full-length rises from No. 6 to No. 5 on the Top Streaming Albums chart. Iceman holds steady at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, the ranking of the most-consumed albums and EPs of any style in the U.S.

Drake sends a dozen projects to the Billboard 200 this week. Many of them also live on multiple genre-specific or streaming-focused rankings, but all 12 appear on the country’s main albums tally. Iceman, Take Care, Views, Habibti, Scorpion, Certified Lover Boy, Thank Me Later, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U with PartyNextDoor, For All the Dogs, More Life, Nothing Was the Same and Maid of Honour land at Nos. 6, 30, 52, 65, 87, 93, 94, 122, 142, 157, 186 and 193, respectively.
