Creative Technology has developed new bi-amplified desktop speakers with dual Hi-Res audio certification, next-gen connectivity and subwoofer expansion.

Creative Technology has unveiled the XF1 Hi-Res desktop speakers, designed to bring high-fidelity audio into homes and personal workspaces with Japan getting the first sight of the units as part of a global rollout, followed by U.S. and U.K. from today.

Aimed at audio enthusiasts, the Creative XF1 speakers have dual Hi-Res Audio certification, next-gen connectivity, plus personalized controls via the Creative Nexus app. Whether it’s a favorite song or a late-night movie, Creative XF1 speakers are designed for immersive and connected listening.

With a maximum power output of 72W RMS and a frequency range of 55Hz to 40kHz, the Creative XF1 speakers aim to offer a lot of detail considering their price tag. The fully active 2-way design has DSP control and dedicated amplification for each driver, which reduces distortion and keeps the sound balanced as the volume levels change. Bespoke FEA-optimized 3-inch woofers add punch and close-range clarity that some smaller desktop speakers can lack.

The Creative XF1 speakers are styled to sit neatly beside computer displays and laptops without dominating the user’s workspace. The detachable cork stands help angle the speakers toward the listener while adding a warm accent that should suit both content creators and everyday home setups.

Advanced Wireless And Wired Connectivity

With dual Hi-Res Audio certification and playback of digital files up to 40kHz over USB audio and analog-line in, the speakers also support Hi-Res Audio Wireless using the LDAC codec with Bluetooth 6.0. Users can stream high-quality audio wirelessly or connect via USB-C for up to 24-bit / 96kHz playback from compatible devices.

A 3.5mm line-in and dedicated subwoofer output, with automatic mode switching, provides an easy upgrade path for users who want to start with a simple plug-and-play speaker setup before expanding into a more powerful 2.1 system.

The Creative Nexus app includes 120+ EQ presets created in-house by the company’s audio specialists. For users who want a more personalized sound, the Creative Nexus app has a 10-band parametric EQ and preset management, making it easy to switch between a more neutral curve for mixing and mastering, a richer profile for movies or a punchier sound for games and day-to-day use at the desk.
