Maryland has already started awarding licenses for medical retail dispensaries (congrats to Mary & Main for receiving one) and knows that recreational isn't going to be far off considering Washington, DC is already legal for adult use. As the state continues to expand its footprint into the cannabis industry, it knows that proper training will make the journey more successful, compliant, and efficient.

The Commission will be selecting up to 5 providers to provide education and training and each provider will be given up to $45,000 to carry these trainings out. The trainings last anywhere from three (3) to six (6) months starting in December. Providers will be announced by the end of November.
