Who should apply to LASER?
We are looking for social equity applicants that have been verified by their respective municipalities and/or states, have some cannabis industry knowledge, and are looking to join a brand as an owner-operator.
Whether you have a commercial cannabis license, are applying for one, or have aspirations to obtain one for your business, we encourage you to apply.
What do applicants need to apply?
Applicants must be prepared to provide copies of the following verification documents, if applicable:
Verified social equity status
Current business related documents (e.g. business plan, pitch deck, financial statements, etc)
Resume or bio
Once selected, participants will be required to sign certain waivers and agreements as a condition to participation.

Access to Growing Talent’s smart cabinet of business resources, including our software, legal, and marketing teams as well as our investor network and retail partner, Good Tree

HOW DOEs growing talent select equity partners?
Equity partners are selected by the Growing Talent management team, which have extensive knowledge social equity-focused businesses. Applications will be assessed on a combination of their potential for success, real-life experiences, and their barriers to entry.
What’s included in the curriculum?
Ten (10) weeks of webinars taught by our team and industry experts. Participation is mandatory, and topics will include:
Business Plan + Pitch Deck Creation
Licensing + Permitting
Property Procurement
Legal + Compliance
Hiring + Workforce Development
Accounting + Taxes
Fundraising
Marketing + Branding
Software Training
Owner-Operator Training
We plan to conduct discussions for participants to talk about their progress, ask questions, raise concerns, and collaborate with other participants.
What happens to an applicant’s information after it’s submitted?
All applicants and applications are governed by the LASER Application Terms of Service and Growing Talents’s Privacy Policy.
Equity partners will have a voice in how their application information is used by the program and no information will be released to investors, media or others without participants’ express permission.
Growing Talent will delete all information and documents from applicants who are not selected for the program.
Are laser participants required to attend courses and events?
Participants are required to attend all events and courses, either by video link or in-person, travel permitting.
What is the overall goal laser helps applicants achieve?
To become a Good Tree owner-operator and gain an equitable stake in the cannabis marketplace.
